Andrews Research Conference (ARC)

Networking Adventist Researchers

The Office of Research at Andrews University, in cooperation with the Andrews University STEM departments, is hosting a Research Conference on our campus from May 7-11, 2014 for early career researchers in STEM. The title of the conference will be “Andrews Research Conference: Early Career Researchers in STEM.” We hope that this will be the first of many early career research conferences which will provide Adventist graduate students and researchers at non-Adventist universities with the opportunity to share their research with one another and with Andrews University. 

All graduate students, post-docs and early faculty in STEM disciplines at non-Adventist universities are welcome. This includes Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and related disciplines. Participants must apply by February 14, 2014 by submitting an abstract to the Office of Research at research@andrews.edu. The submission will be reviewed by the Program Committee, with notification of acceptance given by March 1. Each participant is expected to give a 10-15 minute oral presentation on their research.

The conference itself will be free with on-campus and conference expenses provided for participants. However, participants will need to provide their own transportation to Andrews University. 

The conference will begin with registration at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. It will end on Sunday, May 11 at 9:30 am.
